Accredited Crisis Management Professional
The NIBCM's Accredited Crisis Management Professional (ACMP) designation is an internationally recognized crisis management (CM) certification. It is designed to acknowledge a CM practitioner's thorough competency in understanding and applying the "Best Principles" and "Best Practices" of Crisis Management.
These CM professionals may be executives, managers, business continuity planners and business unit staff who are or may be involved in or manage crisis management planning functions. They may also be emergency managers, internal and external auditors, records managers, information technology managers, administrative heads, and others responsible for the effective administration of any size of organization.
How to Become Certified
- Attend and Complete the online CMC-901 Diploma in Crisis Management and Communications course;
- Attempt and Pass the ACMP exam with at least a minimum score of 70%.
Procedures
- Sign up for the course at www.BCMcourses.com
- Pay the Course Fee; the ACMP exam fee is included in the course fee
- Take all lessons in the course, homework assignments are optional
- Answer quizzes at the end of each lesson
- Answer the ACMP Exam with at least a 70% score; or complete both the mid-term and final exams with a minimum of 70% in each.
- Be awarded the ACMP certification
Certification
- Requirement: Pass the ACMP Examination
- Experience: No experience is needed for the award of the certification if the CMC-901 course is completed. The course is considered equivalent to 2 years' on-the-job experience. Otherwise, at least two years of verifiable experience in Crisis Management Planning or Communications is required.
Maintenance Fee Payment
Beginning in 2024 for new certifications awarded on or after January 1, 2023:

- Year 2: $ 50 USD Annual Renewal Fee
